About SwissMiss
Hey there!
Awesome that you join me on this journey! If you love to explore beautiful places, like to eat foreign food or are looking for tips for any budget, we will have a lot of fun together. If you are a solo traveler, I’m very glad we found each other, because for many years now, I had to set out on my own because my friends either didn’t have the money or the time to travel.
Now, slowly, my friends allow themselves to travel as well and I am getting more experienced in group and couple travelling 😉 So, what you will get on SwissMiss on Tour are tips on how you’ll have the best experience on your next trip, wherever and with whomever you may go as well as pictures to dream about your next destination. Sounds good? Please sign up to my newsletter and don’t miss information that could be useful to you. I also have a facebook corner, where I post pictures of all the places I spend my nights on my journeys.
Here are some facts about SwissMiss:
- I LOVE chocolate (not any kind, it needs taste something like Swiss, Belgian or M&M’s)
- I check airline ticket prices just for fun
- I am okay with hard work to earn some money but I always need the next trip that is planned, to have something to look forward to
- I’m slightly scared of flying (but it’s necessary if you don’t have the whole year to travel)
- My boyfriend is always amazed how I can marvel at nature like a child looks at a cake
- I like to surf and scuba dive and I dislike rain
- I write novels —> Check them out here.
And this is how my wanderlust has started:
As a child, I was very lucky that my family took me and my brother on vacations. However, I always wanted to go to the US and my parents just always postponed the trip to the following year. So, when I was 15 and found a brochure about High School exchange years, I knew that this was my chance to get there sooner. It was one of the best years of my life and I am grateful that I got to experience that. Now, 8 years have passed since then but my desire to go to new places has never subsided. I saved my pocket money to go camping with my friends, then interrailing and then finally, I was old enough to do work odd jobs next to school and fly to places that were further away. After university, I spent half a year in Australia and took three months to travel back via Fiji and America. There, I realized that pretty much whole of young Europe was doing the same as me and everybody was blogging about it. But hey, everybody writes differently and after all, happiness is only real when shared!
Now, for the first time, I have a permanent job as a teacher in Zurich, which means less time to travel but more money to spend during the weeks that I am able to travel. I really like my job (at the moment I’m actually blessed with awesome students), however, my dream would be to not have to work full time anymore and just be able to write and travel. So, I’m always happy to hear some constructive feedback.
If you’re still with me now, why not leave your e-mail address? Or if you are more visual than about words, follow me on Instagram or facebook 🙂
