View from Burj Khalifa

#1 Fly Emirates

Emirates is one of my favorite airlines. The seats are spacious, the food is delicious, there is a lot fo Entertainment and they have nice cabins with little LED stars at the ceiling for night flights. If you have a layover at Dubai for more than 4 hours and you fly with Emirates, you can get a free voucher at the welcome desk to get a free meal. Plus, there are a lot of chairs wehere you can sleep on at the airport. In Addition, Emirates offers different packages to have a cheap short stay in Dubai with lots of fun activities.

#2 Go to the top of Burj Khalifa

So, if you have several days, go to Burj Khalifa and book tickets on your first day. For 125 Dirham we rode up to the 124th floor. It only took 1 Minute and my ears popped during the ride! The view from the top was stunning! It’s really worth it to go up there when it’s dark! The fountain show looks much better from up there. Plus, there are free binoculars which also show on a screen how the 360° view would look during the day.

#3 Spend a day in Dubai Mall

Not even the word huge describes this mall. There are all kinds of shops, restaurants, an ice rink, an aquarium and much more. We literally spent 10 hours in there!  At 8pm we made it to the fountain show outside of the mall. There you have a nice view on Burj Khalifah and another nice tall building. Again, I thought that a big city looks much nicer at night, when all the buildings let their lights shine. The fountain show didn’t impress me too much and so we went to check out some more stores. Even at 11pm there still were quite a lot of people at the mall.

#4 Visit the Aquarium at Dubai Malltips for visitting Dubai

The aquarium looks beautiful from the outside. You can look at sharks and all the other fish without paying anything! However, it looked so impressive that we wanted to see more and bought a ticket for the tunnel and the zoo. It was really cool to walk below sting rays and sharks and see so many fish living in one glass tank without eating each other. I wished I could have stayed in there all day!

#5 Go on a Desert Safari

We booked a jeep safari to the desert, which was amazing! It’s not as wide as the Sahara , you can still see some roads depending on where you are but the sand is soooo soft! Plus, the sand is orange and Looks extremely nice during the sunset! We had great fun taking Pictures and the jeep drivers really know what they are doing. It was like a roller coaster ride in a real car. Afterwards, we had dinner in a Beduine tent, The food was delicious but we had to eat in a rush and the promised sand boards were partially broken. Nevertheless, it was worth to visit the desert by jeep.

#6 And finally: Stay at the beach

Throughout the whole year it’s extremely hot in Dubai. Therefore, you will be glad, if you are close to water. The best but also most expensive place is probably on Jumeirah or along the coast of Burj al Arab. We actually stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Ras al Khaima. They had a nice rooftop pool and a delicous breakfast buffet. The beach was only small but ok to have a dip in the salt water.

Go on booking.com to book a cheap hostel or book it via Emirates Airlines.
